What
E-waste – or electronic waste – refers to electronic products that are no longer working or wanted, including Computers, Mobile Phones, Tablets, Monitors, Printers, TVs etc.
Why
E-waste contains hazardous materials, which can harm the environment and human health. E-waste is growing at triple the rate of general waste due to many factors, including technology trends, reduced product lifespan and consumer demands. When sent to landfill, the opportunity to recycle these goods is lost.

How
Not all electronic products are beyond economical repair. Our process inspects the product and assesses whether there is a likelyhood of a successful repair to repurpose equipment back into circulation. Where the device is beyond economical repair or end-of-life, we process our e-waste in the following manner:
- Mobile Phones and Tablets – batteries removed, printed circuit boards removed, plastics metals and glass separated into separate bins. Batteries are sent to Battery World for recycling. Plastics, metals and glass sent to the Melville City Council recycling depot. The LCD’s are separated and sent to a recycling partner.
- Computers Mobile Phones and Tablets – batteries removed, printed circuit boards removed, plastics metals and glass separated into separate bins. Batteries are sent to Battery World for recycling.
- Plastics, metals and glass sent to the Melville City Council recycling depot. Printed circuit boards, flash storage and hard disk drives are shredded and materials separated for recycling. The LCDs are separated and sent to a recycling partner.
- LCD / LED displays are disassembled, separated into the panel, plastics and printed circuit boards.
- Printed Circuit Boards are shredded and components recycled, plastics are sent to the Melville City Council recycling depot. The LCDs are sent to a recycling partner.
Where
For our business clients, e-waste recycling is a value-added service we provide free of charge. For our retail clients, we charge a small fee to cover our operational and logistical costs in providing this service. Currently, the only location for this service is our WA showroom located in Myaree.
